Yes and no. I don't engage in bad-faith arguments as a rule, and most of the time that's all fantis have to offer. I tend to amplify the work of dedicated discourse accounts, although I may join in a discussion here and there.
What's your problem with antis? Antis are just people with morals!
My problems are many, and that statement is one of them.
Fantis are unable to differentiate between narrative transportation and critical analysis. In order to justify their emotion reactions to fiction, they co-opt the language of social justice. This rhetoric has already resulted in a fanti sharing actual censored CSEM in the name of 'spreading awareness.'
Fantis are complicit in creating an unsafe online environment for minors but putting the real human suffering of CSEM victims on equal footing with the treatment of fictional characters.
Fantis constantly throw out unfounded accusations of pedophilia, usually against marginalized LGBT+ writers and artists.
Fantis who report fanfiction and fanart as CSEM are taking valuable time and resources away from those whose job it is to track down actually CSEM online.
Your inability to stop yourself from consuming online content that upsets, disgusts, enrages, and/or harms you is not anyone's problem but your own.
If you're incapable of using the tools provided to you in order to curate your online experience according to your personal preferences, you should not be online unsupervised.
